Responsibilities

1. Develop, design, refine, adjust, and evaluate ETL pipelines or systems to enhance our Machine Learning and Analytics capabilities.
2. Ensure data integrity throughout its lifecycle by implementing safeguards, health checks, and alerts.
3. Collaborate closely with clients to gain profound insights into their data ecosystems, effectively consolidating our data models for predictive analysis.
4. Foster a deep understanding of relevant data domains, codebase, and systems.
5. Demonstrate expertise in data engineering, data architecture, programming, and software engineering.
6. Exercise discretion in choosing methods and techniques to achieve solutions.
7. Operate independently, utilizing available resources to overcome challenges and meet deadlines by employing sound judgment and problem-solving abilities.
8. Become proficient in internal development standards, progressively managing tasks and projects of increasing complexity from coding to code release.
9. Collaborate with Data Science, Product Managers, and Software Engineers to develop robust ETL pipelines that empower the Product Support team to deliver compelling user experiences.
10. Display empathy for customers to ensure that data processes and workflows meet their needs.

Requirements

1. Demonstrated passion for data and machine learning to drive positive outcomes.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Data Mining, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Applied Sciences, or a related field.
3. At least 2 years of hands-on industry experience in data engineering.
4. Proficiency in event backbone and job pool platforms (e.g., Kafka).
5. Willingness to engage extensively with various internal and client software solutions.
6. Experience in client interaction and translating client requirements into valuable features.
7. Over 2 years of experience with Typescript, Python (Django), and the development of complex ETL pipelines.
8. Hands-on experience in SQL database design, data modeling, and data mining.
9. Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new technologies.
